Future Insurance Professional Internship

The Future Insurance Professional Internship Program (FIPI) will help you more easily attract talented individuals who will support your agency’s perpetuation plan. Highly motivated, energetic college students who are within 1-2 years of graduation will benefit from participating in our program, which combines training and work experience. This internship will help your most promising insurance beginners make greater contributions to your agency in the future. This program kicks off once per year mid- to late-May each year.

We offer 12 seats to agency interns, where we focus on key areas that specifically help interns see the benefits of a career path in insurance and return to their agencies with applicable knowledge of the property casualty insurance industry.

Our three-week course strengthens interns through:

  • Property and Casualty Insurance basics
  • Administrative processes and information techniques for commercial and personal lines
  • Underwriting principals for new and renewal commercial policies
  • Real world experience with sales, claims and loss control representatives

* Once the three-weeks at the CIC HQ are completed, the intern will continue their internship with their sponsoring agency the remainder of the summer to apply their skills at the agency.

Our three-week course strengthens interns through:

  • Sophomores who are entering their junior year of college
  • Juniors who are entering their senior year of college
  • Sponsorship by a Cincinnati agency

Other details:

  • Cincinnati employs interns full-time at a competitive hourly wage throughout the duration of the program.
  • Cincinnati will cover the cost of the intern’s hotel stay and provide a weekly food allowance throughout the duration of the program.
  • Your agency employs the intern for the remainder of the summer.
  • This program will be held in person at CIC Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.
  • All computer equipment will be provided by CIC.

ProFit Sales Program

This four-month program is a tuition-based program. The program will kick off with a two-hour live-online session, followed by a one-and-a-half day in-person session, ending with a two-hour live-online session. Full list of dates will follow.

  • Cincinnati is offering a tuition incentive that allows you to earn back 50% of the tuition upon full completion of the program.
  • Tuition is due upon receipt of registration.
  • Cancellation Policy: If a producer cancels his or her registration in the program prior to 7 days before the first virtual session, we will refund the full amount of tuition back to the producer.
